PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY
Temple policy prohibits the taking of photographs, with or without flash or additional lighting, during the Shabbat service at which a child becomes a bat or bar mitzvah. Video recording on the day of the service may only be done under the auspices of the temple’s Brotherhood as described below.
Video recording of the Shabbat service at which a child becomes a bat or bar mitzvah can be arranged only through the temple’s Brotherhood, at a very reasonable cost. Please contact Joy Palevsky in the temple office at 516-487-0900, ext. 115, for further information.
Parents may arrange for exclusive use of the Rudin Chapel for 60 to 90 minutes in the days prior to a child’s bat or bar mitzvah so their photographer can take posed photographs. Because a representative of the temple must be present during that time, we ask that parents call the temple office for an appointment a few weeks in advance of the bat or bar mitzvah.
